AI problem

Hey, I'm new, so I'm sorry if this post is in the wrong spot. I have a problem with my game, half life 2. It's the collectors edition. Anyways, I started a new game and it worked fine. I then quit, then later when I loaded it, there was no ai or anything. I could move and dow everything, but the enimies didn't move, but when I killed them, they made a sound. Everything works fine, but I can't get much farther in the game with no AI, if thats the problem. I then started a new game and when the creepy guy who tells you to wake up, his head didn't move, his eyes didn't move, and he didn't make a sound, but the game wasn't frozen. It kept on going. Sorry if I'm confusing you guys. Anyways, It would sure be some help if someone could help me with this issue. It's urgent. Thanks guys.
