I got into a little mess here, last week I made a purchase from an online vendor. The problem is, the sender address is located in AUS(australia, and I live in CA, USA) and I accidentally gave them my old home address(because I forgot to change my paypal info, which was also used to make the purchase and upon purchase the information from paypal was automatically used) so after the past 3 days prior to finding out my package has already been shipped and trying to see if the sender can do anything or provide tracking information, they couldn't change the delivery address as it already was shipped and tracking information is unavailable as the sender chooses not to do tracking since tracking with shipping would cost $50 instead of no tracking with shipping being $3 because it's airmail.
I just received an e-mail explaining all this from the sender and he provided me with the sender address information without giving me the shipping company information. I replied back asking for the shipping company name.
Here's my question now. Is the airmail company that the sender used going to be the same delivery company here in the states? Or is it simply airmailed to the airport and the local mail courier(United States Postal Sservice) will mail it to the final destination? Because if that is the case I can easily call up the USPS and tell them I have a package incoming and give them the sender information and ask them to hold the package until I go pick it up, or simply request them to mail it to the desired address, my current home address.
