alternate download location?

not sure on the legality, or 'valve friendlyness' of this, but have any mirrors for the preloaded file appeared yet? obviously this would be a better solution than eating up valves bandwidth, but still allow me to get the file. (undoubtedly faster too.)

Still no word whether or not we're allowed to, but there was already a post about this earlier today.

According to the Steam licence agreement, the third party distribution of Steam cache files is illegal.

There's no rush to download the pre-load as there is nothing special in the cache, and there's plently of time to download it before Half-Life 2 is released.
