When I was first interacting with Alyx I thought something was weird about her, strange..
She was constantly looking at me even if that meant walking backwards and into objects.
She smiled at me a lot.
She confided in me.
She trusted me.
She praised me.
She seemed interested in me.
She's smart, funny and independant.
I thought about all of this and said to myself, "This isn't a woman, at least, no woman I've ever talked to".
And then I realized it, this is how a woman is supposed to act when she's actually interested in you.
Alyx didn't check out Barney or the Vortigaunts.
Alyx didn't talk about stupid stuff like what color to do her nails.
Alyx didn't make me pay for her movie ticket and then not sit next to me.
Alyx isn't self-absorbed.
This is a total shock to me and whenever I interact with her it freaks me out. I'm not comfortable with this kind of emotion and I think it gives a false sense of hope. I think Valve should release a patch with Alyx is a frigid &*tch and dumps me for the first Combine Soldier she comes across. That would be something to fight for!
