I'm homeschooled, so I have all day to do basically whatever I want. The homeschooling is free, so I do just enough to pass, and it only takes like 20 minutes a day. But is it just me or when the first Half-life was released, and you started playing it, did it make the next day easier to wake up? I know now that we are getting closer I can just picture waking up, and getting to play the funest game in the world. Everyone says people are hyping the game to much.. I'm not saying I base my life around it, I'm just saying, sometimes games are something to look forward to. This community makes that a close fact. Some of us are just extreme gamers :borg:

edit:: I almost forgot the reason I was gonna make the thread :naughty: Does anyone know if the in-game recorder will slow the FPS down? Like most utilities do? I wouldnt think they wouldnt add one if it would. But I could be wrong..

In reply to the title.... One of the things that made Half-Life so great was the gripping atmosphere.. I expect Half-Life 2 will be one of the most atmospheric games ever created.

In reply to the post... Only 20 minutes a day?? Aren't you worried you won't live up to your potential? How old are you? What are your career plans? :P But anyway, yes I imagine after playing a bit of HL2 until sleep is needed, one would wake up rather quickly and excitedly, eager to get back into the game. Kind of like christmas morning :D

In reply to the edit... since it's not capturing to video directly, but instead just recording a demo, I don't think it should have too much impact on performance. My understanding is that you record a demo, and later render that down to an AVI or whatever, so it won't be the kind of FPS hit you get when using Fraps, or similar.

Agreed. Once hl2 is out i wont wake up thinking 10 more days etc etc. lol It will be a year till F.E.A.R. 2 years till hl3 lmfao.

I never get it to work though, CSS doesn't even write the screens :( So I'm using Fraps.
