BBC say HL2 for November

Still, the person who writes it is a complete uninformed liar 3/4 of the time, so I'll take it with a pinch of salt, myself.

I used to have complete faith in the BBC til they started reporting on things that I knew more about that them, ie. computer games.

Then I realised they just make stuff up on the spot, or base a report around a false rumour.

I only hope these same qualities don't go through to the high echelons of the BBC, else I has been getting my news from the wrong place all my life

Heh, that guy is consctricted by time and space, edits the hell out of statements and suchlike. I'd say he's choosing "November" for the same reason as a retail store or any website; to cover all possibilities. Safe to say HL2 will probably be out by then... but otherwise he pulled that estimate it out of a pond full of Koi carp. And I don't know why I chose that metaphor...

Nah, I'd imagine it's just the games show. For some reason games shows insist on being rubbish. Except perhaps Thumb Bandits. That was quite good.
The BBC is generally pretty good for news although they have their moments - one article about the LibDems may as well have read "DO NOT VOTE FOR KENNEDY. HE IS YOUR FALSE IDOL. VOTE FOR LABOUR. DO IT. IF YOU MUST THEN VOTE TORY. DO NOT VOTE LIB DEM." That article made me dizzy and I saw red lights drifting in and out of my eyes. Ahem. Sorry, asides from that they're generally good.
As things stand I find it hard to find any date more than speculation and I think the safest option is to kick back, take a "Done when it's done" frame of mind and sit in the sunshine. At least it's not Duke Nukem Forever, eh?
