They installed the "morality core" after she flooded the place with neuro-toxin. So in that respect, the other remaining employees removed their dead co-workers before whatever happened that completely cleared the place out.

Ever notice how in all the offices, chairs are thrown over as if people had to make a run for it? They all left/died in a big hurry.

Prior post is the best answer. And even if that wasnt true, its obvious there were any number of test subjects before Chell, and there is no reason to believe that Glados couldnt have convinced those subjects to help clean up the place. . . before she began their testing.

Ah; I heard in the game that some people survived the gas attack and put it in after but a post here made it sound as if it was the other way around (installed it and it failed). I mean, she obviously can remove it at any time, as she magically "drops" it.

Though I wonder why she has poison gas in the first place, and what made her decide to use it the first time...

Yeah. And, I mean, who's to say that GLaDOS herself cannot clean it up? She likely has the tools to do so.

My thoughts about this...

Apparently GLaDOS went nuts on the "bring your daughter to work day" which is why there's those children's drawings still on the walls. What really shocks me that GLaDOS decided to fill the place with toxic gases on special day when there was children around and considering how small children react to less amount of toxins...well, seems like GLaDOS killed a whole bunch of children and then some of their parents.

I'm talking about the jellyfish pictures. They're easy to miss especially if your texture quality is low, I noticed them personally only on my fourth playthough.

Also, the center seems very female-oriented, from what I've seen.

I'd hazard a guess that she has access to androids of sorts.

Anyone else think Chell was shaped weird? I wanted to see what my character looked liked so I used portals as mirrors. it's like she has a badly shaped spine or something, and a flat head.
