The Specialists. One of the best mods I've ever played.

For what game?

Poke 646 (and the Vendetta mini-expansion thing) is a very good HL1 mod. As is Peaces Like Us and Azure Sheep, and several others I've forgotten the name of.

And if you're feeling hardcore, check out Half Quake: Amen and Half Quake: Sunrise

hey nice thread! I still have to play a lot of mods too!

edit: Okay, keep in mind that a lot of mods do not work anymore because of steampipe!

Hey, didn't I make a post before with a joke like that? About you?

Edit: Oh yeah, it was that special thing where you could submit a mod to the site. I must have that image somewhere.

G-String is awe inspiring for me, even though the mod developer used quite a bit of unauthorized assets, it looks fantastic!

...made by PC Gamer.

Technically they distributed it rather than make it, great series though!

There are so many from that era I remember.. USS Darkstar, Azure Sheep and Redemption are those that I can still name. I haven't played many Half-Life 2 mods, but I do remember Mistake of Pythagoras for its creepy brush-based monsters and alphabet rain.

Neil Manke's work is always inspiring.
