Okay, you acknowledged this is music based, so why didnt you post in the music forum?

the best techno song by far is:

the melody, by dj mangoo, and
ding dong song, by gunther.

if you download them, tell me what u think of em after. basically any song by those people are good. if u like em ill suggest some more by them, that are really awesome.

I like Nick Warren's stuff, other than that I'm a metal head.

That song is rubbish!

I'm not a huge fan, my brother is though. He's starting producing tracks, and he's playing at Gatecrasher (I think he said in September :/)

I used to like trance a few years ago, tiesto, cosmic gate, ferry corsten (and gouryella) were often played by the person know as me.

right. if you knew better you'd know that techno isn't necessarily based on lyrics, but the music itself.

I listen to music from nearly every genre, but am very picky about what songs I like.

Just click on the link in my signature "listen to MUSIC"
and save it in your bookmarks

Click on anything D I G I T A L L Y I M P O R T E D or HI-NRG
and you should find something fitting your description, complete with the artist/song title.

ya there s a lot of good techno but i find that most studio tracks that are supposedly "techno" sound more like pop.

Personally, my favorite is live mixes from DJs like Paul Oakenfold and DJ Tiesto. I cant think of any of the shows in particular but u should be able to find one called Dance Valley 2001 thats really good and theres also a show Tiesto did in Amsterdam that i really enjoyed. As far as i know, you should be able to legally download these shows because most live shows dont contain a copyright and often times, bands encourage the recording and sharing of their live shows.

If you want some old school techno flavor, try some Daft Punk or Robert Miles. I hope you find what youre looking for.

Find the song Children by Clubbers, it's awesome :)

children was originally done by robert miles and ive already states his 1337ness.. :D

unless this song is different, which i doubt it is... If were thinking of the same song, its that damn one i used to always hear in the skating rink when i was in middle school... ahhh, the good ol days :hmph:

I only listen to one Dance/Techno act and that's The Prodigy, they rule!

Infected Mushroom is some of the best psy trance / goa type music I've ever heard...

Everyone download Out Of The Blue by System F. It's really good as far as techno goes.
Granted, the main melody in the song doesn't start for nearly 2 minutes into it.

Out of the blue is trance not techno; they are completely different genres of dance music. And 2 minutes is quite early for a melody to start. Dance tunes start off and end minimally so they can be mixed seamlessly and without key clashing.
Some good producers (no order): dave clarke, marco v, chris liberator, tiesto, shokk, bk, thomas schumacher, slusnik luna, scot project, mauro picotto, carl cox, dave the drummer, anne savage, blank & jones, signum, filterheadz, nick sentience, tidy girls, chris liebing, sasha, cosmic gate

these are my favourite kinds of music!

i love Techno like moby, and other chilling songs..

i also like hardcore trance and dance songs, like Bonkers (dj hixxy) sort of stuff.

the chilling songs i like are from films like the green mile/coldplay/reflekt.

i even class the chillis and some rock as chilling music.
