Bill Gates Steps down..

Doubt it'll be an improvement to the way M$ Works (punslol)
 
You can tell he's ran out of money, hell, he had to go around selling Halo 3 copies to make it go round last year. It's sad but it's bound to happen.
 
You're kidding right? He's giving it all away with his charity.
 
It is so tiring to keep fighting over the commercial market for years after all.
 
Without Bill Gates, there would of been no Microsoft, and without Microsoft Gabe Newell wouldn't of ever made the money necessary to start up Valve (he was one of the original Microsoft millionaires), so no Halflife etc. So bitching out Bill is a no no if you're any kind of gamer tbh.:dozey:
 
Although Windows is full of bugs, it is still the best OS, apart from Linux. This is true especially for PC gamers.
 
Don't even trash this guy. Unless you have tried Vista lately, or used something that requires an OS, then stfu. Even though he took a lot of things from Jobs and many other ideas, he still created the UI. He created Windows ffs. Everything runs off of Windows. Just think about how your life is affected by Windows. We would'nt even be talking right now or you would never see that furry porn. He is a very smart man and he gives tons, and tons of money to charity. He basically realizes that he wants to get away from all the bs and go live his life with his family. He said it himself even, "I havn't been without Microsoft since I was 17" and he's 52. This guy deserves a day of silence from the internet. :(

Gates is a good guy, there's not many billionaires who give as much to charity as he does.
 
Microsoft is a pretty cool guy, he makes computers and doesn't afraid of anything.
 
His touch screen table looks very interesting. It could be a expensive flop but then again it could revolutionize entertainment interaction as we know it.
 
Bill Gates is awesome. He bought out a floundering group of software engineers and helped make it into Windows.
 
You know, I used to never like Bill Gates, I always considered him to be a jackass because he was some rich guy, and I always assumed he acted like a rich guy, but he's proven over time that he is actually quite a cool guy when it comes to spending his wealth to help others and not just being one of those other do nothing good billionaires.

I'm sure not all his investments have been wise and good, but at least he tried.
 
I like the guy, I think he changed the comptuing world like no one else could. There was a movie that TBS (might have been TNT now that I think about it) released years ago, I think it was pirates of silicon valley or something like that. It really was a great documentary about Bill Gates, microsoft as well as apple and others in the early days of personal computing and I would recommend everyone watches it if you get a chance.

And I don't know what problems anyone here has with how microsoft operates, in my opinion they operate just fine.

And yeah, Bill Gates is a genius, like him or not. At least he's one of the richest men in the world for a reason.

Yeah, good for Bill, y'know. He deserves his retirement. Dude gets a lot of undeserved flak; I never understood why. He's a good guy, and as the article said he's going to spend a lot of his time devoted to his philanthropic organization. It's weird to think of a Microsoft without Bill Gates, though. It's a weird thought.

Steve Ballmer is exactly the kind of loose cannon loudmouth you want fronting one of the biggest and most influential organizations in the world! Gates was so dry during his boring talks--Ballmer brings teh funneh IN YO FACE EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! He has no 'Off' button!!! (or internal censor :P--thankfully)
