The Black Mesa: Source is looking for the following positions:
2 Texture Artists
2 Character Modelers
1 Weapons Skiner
Previous work must be shown
Apply to '[email protected]'

As for Opposing Source (website not fully up yet)
Mappers
Character Modellers
Sprite & HUD Artist
Character Skinner
Object Skinner
Animator
Programmer
AI Programmer

You really should apply to be a PR assistant for them, you know :)

These guys get my thumbs up of approval, they're actually getting stuff made rather than whining they don't have [insert generic job] on their team.

Actually I am in charge of PR management for the Black Mesa: Source modification.
 
But, Riomhaire loves the mod, look how pumped he is - he might flip out and kick someone in the face if he keeps it up.

Notice the term "PR Assistant", not "PR Management".

Yeh "PR Management" as he likes to call it. Otherwise known as slave driver....

Jheaddon, on a completely unrelated note, I'll ask you - what's Valve's stance on using material from HL1/HL:S in a HL2 mod? I've asked Valve and they've not really got back to me, but as you're pretty much basing your mod on old material (albeit you're recreating everything), what's Valve's stance on it? And who did you contact to get an answer, because I seem to only find deaf ears.

And, to keep this post on topic - yeah, BM:S is one of those mods that actually gets work done. Join it if you want to be part of a team that will actually finish something.

As I am not an employee of VALVe I cannot speak for them, though they have yet to show any negatives towards the use and/or recreation of their IP.

We wrote a letter to their office some time ago, and also emailed several employees.
 
Bah, I wish I had pursued BM:S more and hopped onboard back when it was just a little thread on this site.

Well, that makes me feel a little better. Still going to hunt for clarification before my first release, though :)

Well, I'm actually testing the mod tonight with Samon (it's reached "vaguely playable"), so I probably post a really long video, assuming HL2Files get back to me on hosting.
