The Black Mesa: Source development team is presently seeking several new applicants to help with the development of serveral key development areas. For those who do not know what Black Mesa: Source is, there is a breif explanation below. Following that will be the positions avaliable, details on applying for them as well as descriptions about each positions.

Run. Think. Shoot. Live. Source.

Black Mesa: Source is the Half-Life 2 total conversion of the original Half-Life game. Utilizing the Source engine and its endless array of possibilities and powers, Black Mesa: Source will throw you into the world that started the Half-Life continuum and introduced Gordon Freeman to the world as a gun-toting, bullet-dodging, Ph.D Theoretical Physist.

Black Mesa: Source was built and founded on the principle that Half-Life: Source did not do the original title enough credit, regardless of the true intentions laid out with the release of Half-Life: Source by Valve Software. Subsequently in November 2004, Black Mesa: Source was founded and set out to reconstruct the original title, giving it the new environments, models and abilities it deserved on the Source engine. This total conversion will not require Half-Life: Source installed on your system to play, only a legitimate and working version of Half-Life 2. At the present time, Valve Software is not associated or involved with the development of this project.

Skinning is a major plus, but skinner-applicants must be able to create their own textures. Past examples of work must be shown for this position. Using already constructed models, the animators will then create movement animations, as well as speciality animations for scripted sequences. Past examples of work is a requirement. Experience with Source engine animation is a plus, but not required.
  • Programmers (2) -- After our programmers were recently snatched by the professional game-development industry, we are presently re-seeking programmers to work on Black Mesa: Source. Hmm. I'm actually quite tempted to apply for the Programmer position. But I've already got lots on my plate.

If you can't find anyone good to fill the coding position, give me a poke and I'll see how I'm feeling.
