Yeah, this is pretty old news. I'm sure some people have yet to hear about it though.

These black people are are racists themselves. No one complains when we're killing white or Hispanic zombies, but all the sudden it's racism when the zombies are black.
 
The comments are gold. Some should be engraved in gold on the foreheads of little children of all races. Imagine how they would all shine in the sun!

Racism is a card that they are scared of losing, so they have to keep racism alive by making a fuss out of nothing.

Man there is some serious backlash going on in those comments sections. Bet the author wishes they'd thought things through a bit more on that one. I agree comedy gold on this one.

I don't care about the ethical backlash but I wish people would stop seeing games as kid's things. I am 18. Old enough to watch any film, have sex with anything I want, and sit behind the wheel of something that can kill another human being. And I play videogames. In the eyes of the law I am an adult. I can make adult decisions...


I'm not really sure where I'm going with this but you all know it's true.

we kill Canadians in most RE games, RE4 was the spanish, Code Veronica was Russians, nobody cared, this may sound racist, but I am getting pissed with blacks thinking everybody owes them something after slavery. How much do they want? The abandonment of an otherwise amazing looking game? Do they want capcom to go back to killing zombies in Canada?
look at Dead Rising, it took place in America, and all of the zombies were white, so what, black people had no problem playing it?

EDIT- the zombie apocalypse wont pick and choose who's a zombie or not, in fact, every race has an equal chance at being a zombie.

Well, not exactly, if my instinct serves me right, the setting seems to be Somalia, which is a war torn country in Africa. So, the hangings and violence that she claims to portrait as a "disease" is probably nothing more then one war lords group fighting another.

sorry, I have been watching the game intensely, I don't want to see it canceled for this reason, its never race was never a big issue with capcom games, until now....




(my English class is doing a debate on the justification of mercy killing, I was hoping it would help improve any debate here, I guess I should avoid at all costs?)

If by consequences you mean a bunch of people pissed off for arguably no reason then yes I'd think they'd be prepared for that one.

Solution = Make the main character black.

Seriously, I don't think this will create any large problem for the game's development.

Are you trying to say that black people hate black people? Surely not, they'd see the game for what it is and have a laugh. If it's black on black any racism arguments don't have a leg to stand on the way I see it. Hell the initial argument doesn't have a leg to stand on. It takes a slightly sick mind to actually spot something and call it racist unless it is blatantly obvious. Crying out that somethings racist every time there are more white people killing black people in a video game is a cop out we all know it. Reverse the situation and suddenly there is no problem.
