So the reason Gabe posted the official announcement here was because Munro tricked Chris into thinking he was Doug. Chris did not want this chatlog posted. Munro suggested that rather than posted the chatlog, which contained more confidential material, that he could get Gabe or Doug to post an official announcement.

That is fairly disgraceful, especially as it now seems that the chatlog has now leaked out anyway.
