Hey all,

i purchased the CS:S/DOD:S - DVD some days ago and yesterday i installed it. Everything went well but always when i want to start CS:S the following happens:

the screen goes black, then it appears a bluescreen. After a few seconds the PC reboots...

When i want to start DOD:S i have the same problem.

DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHY THIS IS???
I would be very glad if somebody could help me...

Ram error definitely if you get the blue screen of death
run memtest86 if the stick(s) are still alive

Hardware driver most likely Memory, Video, DVD driver send the MS Error report and see if you get some sort of troubleshoot reply.

First run memtest86 as john said, and see if there are any grave errors, and get some help from a tech savvy person if there are.

If you still have problems, could you please post your system specifications? (Tutorial is here : tutorial)

I tried to make the memtest86, but when i entered it in "execute" it just appears a message that this order can´t be found...well here are my system specifications:
