Sorry if this is a repeat, but I noticed on the e32004 video that during the hovercraft part where you are being chased by the helicopter,the machine gun has the ability to shoot down the incoming missles from the soldiers.

What is the need for spelling it all wrong anyway? You guys lose entire words that way. I can't remember the exact example, but you guys actually lose whole words because you spell another one wrong and overwrite the original word.

Before any Americans start getting defensive, my fiancee is American and I think the whole accent and misspelling thing is qwutesy! :imu:

i've always spelled it favorite, color, etc. But i do spell missile 'missile'. But most of the time when i speak it i say it like 'missell.'

Colour, honour, i'm just not used to spelling things that way. But really there's no 'right' way, is there? :O

We add the u in Canada as well, but I interchange them constantly. I use colour and color depending on my mood. Neither(is it neether or nither? Another British/American thing. I interchange them as well.) looks odd. But gaol is weird to me.

I think it's a kinda natural progression of language - we're on opposite sides of an ocean for a while, and despite the 'net and the whole "world getting smaller" thing, it's only natural to talk to fellow countrymen more often (on average) than people across the pond. It's shorter the American way, so I guess that's why it's done. And for whoever asked about favorite, it's like "fay vore it". At least with my wonky California accent. And no, wonky isn't a general slang term for anything, I just like how it sounds

I personnally like British accents though. They're sexy most of the time. Unless you get one of those nagging ones, but then again those are never particularly attractive, are they?

EDIT: I personnally talk to a lot of Brits on-line because of my airsoft obsession, so I'd seen all these crazy things before (even gaol, but I blink in confusion for a moment until I sound it out in my head). We didn't even scratch the surface of having entirely different meanings for words (boot) or words that aren't even in the other language (loo, bobby, etc.)
