They probably had the best interest, but honestly spamming and trashing a forum does not help, if you do not like it here anymore then why try to ruin it for the rest. Besides Al chose to leave on his own, why be angry at the site and the mods.

As for the leaving threads that just unnesesairy attention seeking, most people who made those threads would not even be missed if they did not make a thread and just left.

And finally this is a forum, it's not like someone has to walk 3 miles to make a post here. I can understand if you do not enjoy arguing with people on this forum and do not want to engage in long discussions for whatever reason, but that doesn't stop you from posting once in a while in fun threads like the video google or if you found a nice funny site.
I may have left this forum for all intents and purposes of a forum a while a go, but I don't think anyone minds some of the nice grumpy gamer links i post once in a while. People are just overly dramatic, like there isn't enough drama in everyday life.

Glad to read that some will be back, but Pes and Nat, ah well, was never that friendly with Nat, these thing happened for the best i guess :|

These recent bannings signifies that we must be entering the summer months where our member have more free time -translating into increased sillyness.

Perhaps this would be a good time to poke StarMonkey (or Munro) about the Warning system again. If I recall, the system was highly praised by the community and the staff, it's just a shame that it was lost with the forum upgrades.
 
I noticed Pes stopped spammig when he hit 4,500 posts, I think that was his goal, lawl.
 
it was quite weird running into that this morning, almost missed my bus banning the 'tards.

the bans i did were based in the amounts of spam and most of all what they were spamming..

i got the impression that qonfused did his spam in a rather sarcastic way, and there wasn't overly much of it, thereby the temp.

ultimapocalyspe had his fair share of spam.

Right after pesmerga, Cybrman, a person i have admired dearly back in the old days, was the worst spammer of the bunch. as much as i like porn, this is not the place... i'd rather you send it to crazyharij (at) gmail.com :)
 
I'm pissed about Que though. Not at any of the mods of course, I know he asked to be banned, but hell! We started posting around the same time here. I'm glad I managed to get his email before he kacked off.

My spam aside, as far as I'm concerned most of them were just being retards by spamming because AL was banned. I'm glad some of them are gone for good and glad some are just time-banned.

QFMFT. If you want to leave, fine, just leave. If you had felt like popping in sometime to say Hi you would've been free to do so, and it would've been great to see you. This way you're gone, gone, without a trace.

I'm confused by this requesting of bans. Why not just come on the forums? Out of curiosity, do you guys ip check the accounts before following up a ban request?
 
First of all, ban seems to be too serious. Why don't you send people several warnings first and just execute temporal ban is enough. Permanent ban is so cruel.

Second of all, what Pesmerga does, actually? Can anyone post me the link so I can check it out?

Lastly, can we name some contributing members in this forum?

unsure why people would actually ask to be banned...I mean if you addicted to the forum you can still browse while banned right? Sometimes you just have to take it upon yourself to stop.

Im not a fan of those good-bye threads either...fair enough a "hello" one because you want to feel welcome but if you want to leave the forum, do you really want to be checking to see how popular you are...I dont get it really.

People who want to bring this site back to glory should check site feedback and contribute any ideas they can!

Well not everyone who participated perished, but the main people involved certainly did. I was going to post something like this and call it the banocaust or something like that. Never forget... Except they actually brought it upon themselves. I knew it was inevitable.
Good thing I didn't make this though as I found out the maker perished as well.

Who remembers when you could come into a thread and completely derail it with hilarious conversation until the thread got to page ten and was closed?
Thats what made offtopic a community. We had offtopic conversations with each other instead of just replying to a topic.
I remember i could come here and know tron, or qckbeam, or ennui, or absinthe or SOMEONE would be here willing to derail a thread with me in some awesome manner
But now.. everything is so on topic :/

You should be careful of what you say. It its not as safe here as it use to be. Saying you miss spam could have just ended your life.
