BugBait vs Manipulator

which one do you think was the better weapon? i personally thought bugbait roxord the manipulator. the manipulator had an effective range of like 2 feet, any further than that, the barrel will hit the enemy but barely do any damage. therefore you would have to go right up to the enemy, exposing your flank to other enemies which made the manipulator only useful for one on one battles. whereas with bugbait, you can just watch your little minions swarm over the enemy and rape them . it was especially satisfying to unleash the antlions attacking the gay fast zombie cuz it didn't know what to do and ended up getting pwned :cheers:

BugBait is good only when ur in sandtraps or nova prospekt..

I might have voted for bugbait if it worked in more than just a couple of levels.

the manipulator could be used anywhere
the game would be really hard without it

well i'm only in nova prospekt.maybe that's why i like it so much

I think the bugbait made the nova prospekt related levels a little too easy. and after that level you didnt need it anymore. so I vote manipulator

I occasionally ran around and threw bugbait at striders, just in case.

the bug bait was a good idea exept the only bad thing was that you could only have 4 following you at a time

strange.. i coulda sworn i had five at once.. but I thought it was odd that I kept picking up bug baits even after you stopped seeing antlions..

u can still use bugbait to daze the combine... if you hit them that is

i think only 4 follow you but in nova prosk there are tons that spawn on triggers and such.

They spawn whenever one of the 4 that you can have at one time dies. When you throw a pod at a big combine position, a lot of antlions die in a short time so they keep coming in fast succession.

I voted bugbait because even though it's only really useful for a couple of levels, those levels are just so cool!
