No, this isn't a "I don't know what to put in where" post. This is a post for someone who's confused about components.

Does anyone know anywhere I could get clued up on what components offer the best bang for my buck, or what components are compatible with each other and such? I'm clueless right now, and I need some info that'll help me decide how best to spend my £500 budget (monitor and OS not inclusive). Or does anyone have any tips they can offer me?

The best I could make of $500, I'd recommend getting a better quality PSU though.

Make sure the motherboard you buy can fit everything - CPU/graphics card. It should be hard, just read the specs of everything.

£500 will get a beast if you're not buying a monitor etc.
