This has been bugging me for awhile, and im not quite sure of the answer.

I live in Canada, so if I buy over steam, do I pay in American Dollars or Canadian Dollars? Even if theres a selection to say if your Canadian or American, couldn't the Americans just pick Canadian and pay a lower cost?

I suppose they could do a DNS look up to find out but thats not always accurate :/

Well you'll be using your credit or debit card. This will obviously be linked to your bank account, current account etc. which will contain money or credit of a certain currency. Also, the account that is linked to your credit or debit card will contain exact information on you such as your date of birth, account address, full name etc.

Basically if you're living in the US and you accidentally say you're from Pakistan and you'd like to pay in Pakistani Rupees you won't be paying $2886.00 instead of $50.

the cost will be $xx USD currency independant of your location, just like all online ecommerce.

Basically what I was trying to say.

The $50 will be converted to your own currency at that days rate of exchange.

The currency will be automatically converted so you will save exactly $0.00. I'm not sure how they do this, but I think you can buy American products with Canadian credit cards, right?

I still find it funny how 4 people reply to the same thread saying exactly the same thing without taking notice of previous messages :D

Yeah Lone, it's automatically converted based on that days rate of exchange (eg. £1 = $1.56798 or $50 = PKR 28860) so basically you pay the equivalent price in $ with your own currency.

I rather buy it from Best Buy or Circuit City, so I can have the beautiful box :P

Buying with your credit card from abroad will cost you a bit more, since you will "lose" money in the conversion. Plus transactions costs.

do you think it will be cheaper than buying it from a retailer?

I think it will be about the same, maybe a little bit cheaper because there's no manual or case.. but then again I have no idea.
