Gabe and Knives

As I'm sure you all know knives are kind of a big deal in CS:GO and Gabe is a huge knife collector. Do you think that in anyway they are related? Like Gabe chooses what knife (or at least what the model will look like) based off of knives that he currently likes?

Some knives had real life counterpart for the huntsman cost like $30 bucks on amazon
While other real life counterparts like the butterfly knife were crazy high; I couldn't actually find a price but similar knives made by the same guy cost upwards of $500-1500

(Side note, If you have a spare $30 or £20, I highly recommend buying the Mtech USA extreme mx-8054 on amazon. I just did and let me tell you, It feels amazing in your hands. It's feels incredibly lightweight and agile while still feeling heavy like it can do some serious damage)

On another note, I just think it's a part of the Counter-Strike Community; how knives have always looked cooler with skins n' shit, and people wanted to look cool or whatever. So that's what Valve gave the players: incredibly valuable cool knives.
