Can anyone help im stuck!!

Im on the "follow freeman level" and im stuck! Im with barney and have taken out all the generators and now have to make our way up to the roof! we go down to the room with the green exit sign above it and inside at the end of the corridor there is a control panel and a big locked door.
I was told Barney is suposed to unlock it but he just stands there. Have i missed something? Please help as i've been going insane with this! :bounce: :bounce:

Hmm yes, i remember that. It took a few moments for me too where i just managed to think, what is supposed to happen now. But then i went over to the door and it opend by itself (i might have had to press use) but that is the way to go though.

If he doesn't want to unlock, the only thing you can do is type restart into the console, and hope it works the next time.

Yeah i've done everythin possible ususally i can fiure these things out, but the door aint budging! Perhaps my man Barney isnt behaving properly as i think he is suposed to unlock it except he just sands around doing nothing.

ok it looks like my game is fooked so im gonna have to skip level can anyone tell me how to activate my consol? can i do this in my shortcut to hl2? bearing in mind i bought this through steam so im not sure if the target is the same!

In steam, go to properties (For HL2), then add -console to the Launch Options, and you're good to go.

I'm stuck in the Citadel's tower and I just can't seem to harm Breen
or pry anything loose with the gravity gun :frown: (well, except Combine soldiers).
Any hints would be appreciated.
