Can I install HL2 at 2 locations from one account?

Hey, I'm at work right now and I think it would be awesome to be able to play the game here for a bit but I have it installed at home as well. If I install the game here at work and play it will I be able to play the game at home? Will it lock me out of my account or from the game?

I did that and it worked just fine. Funny thing was when i left home that morning I never quit the game. So i was able to log-in, download the game and play the game all while my account was still active at home.

Wow, that is a bit weird. Hmm.... I'll have to see how that works for me.

But do you have to go online to be able to play at 2 different locations? Won't that be a problem if you have 2 different IPs? I mean this way you can install 1 account for all your friends, and let them play without playing (illegal). Weird.
