In the beginning when Gordon meets Barney. There is blood on the chair etc. What do they do to the people that go in there? Just kill them? Interrogate them? And why would they do that? Are they from the resistance that are being killed or are they just killing random people just because they can? And when they have people in the streets up against the walls or in rooms with there hands behind there head, who are they and why are they doing that? From the resistance or just random people? Do they plan on killing them? etc.

And the part in the house/apartment. When they say that "there coming for us next" and the combine storm in and chase them etc. Are these people hiding from them (the resistance) or are they just random people? Are they gonna be killed or what?

Can someone explain this to me? I would appreciate it.

They are trying to find out who knows what. People are being smuggled out of the City daily.

Like you partly said in your post, its an interrogation room. Beat them up for answers!

Blood on the chair? No, you are mistaken, citizen! It is only paint. Red paint. You will notice chairs in Combine-occupied areas are red; they are painted this way.

As for the people in the apartment, no harm came to them. The Combine only moved them to a temporary, safe location while the building was being fumigated. They were in danger of breathing toxic fumes; I realize the Combine might've been a little rough, but it was only for their safety! We care very deeply about our citizens. In fact, when you return to that area later on in the game, you will see that the city even paid for renovations: new brick for the apartments!

Hopefully you are now better informed, citizen. Please do not spread terrible rumors about our Glorious Combine Empire. We will send a small detachment of metrocops to your place of residence shortly to make sure you fully understand your mistake.

Funny lol.

I meant blood near the chair, not on. My mistake.

And I realize your post is from a Combines point of view but is it accurate to what is really happening? Toxic fumes from what? Moving them to another location because the building is being fumigated, again for what?

Combines are bad. Sometimes they beat people up because they've done something wrong, sometimes they beat people up because they want information, sometimes they beat people up because they can. It's a police state, everybody is a suspect until proven guilty.

They pick random people to turn into Combine, so...that's it, they take em back, give em a lobotomy, toss some computer stuff in, you got yourself a Combine

Beating quota to finish, cant find rebels? Whack randoms.

Beatings are to keep them afraid/make an example of the troublemakers:borg:

Actually you got yourself a Stalker. And anyhow, that stuff doesn't happen in the train station or wherever - it's just a waypoint to Nova Prospekt.

You're right, to make a combine you have to give the dude a lobotomy and toss some computer stuff in.

wait... >.>

Everyone who becomes a Combine soldier does so willingly! They even earn wages. No one is conscripted into the Combine ranks; it's all of their own volition. The memory wipes, computer upgrades, multi-frequency radio larynx implant, heart monitor...all voluntary. You earn credits for those things.

Stalkers...who told you about the stalkers? I mean, what stalkers? What the hell is a stalker?

*Cracks stunstick*

You heard nothing! Go back to your business, citizen.

And pick up that can.

'Inaction is conspiracy.'

If you see this so-called Free Man, report him.

Civic deeds do not go unrewarded. And contrariwise, complicity with his cause will not go unpunished.

We will free them and turn them into Scientists. The combine war machine will fall.

(Yes, I'm twisting what Kliener actually said so that I sound like it but at the same time don't give off spoilers)
