Cannot connect even though ports are forwarded?

Basically, when I try to connect to a game, the status stays like this:

and then this message appears:

I'm trying to connect through a Netgear RP614v3 Wireless Router. I have succeeded in playing other games (for example Diablo II), but I cannot seem to connect to CS servers. I tried bypassing the router and it worked, so I know it's an issue with the router itself, but contacting Netgear was a complete waste of time.

I've forwarded the correct ports (1200, 27000-27015, 27020-27039).

Does anyone know of any reason why the game may not work?

You have to manually allow CS to access internet through Netgear (piece of crap router).

I used Netgear once, I hated it, It broke and I never want to use it again.

Please refer to your owner's manual for instructions on how.

No luck so far, can you remember what you did?

that use to do that to me on really low ping servers try joining servers with a ping of around 50 and see if that works

Have you tried to not forward the ports? On my zyxel router it works fine without any forwarding.

Did you try to connect to CS server while you are playing CS:S?
