can't get past follow freeman

help please, playing hl2 on xbox, can't get past ruined, gutted out buildings that have the burned cars in the parking lot basement. been trying for hours

Have you fought all the soldiers and manhacks coming in from above yet? If not walk up to the wall of wreckage on the side you didn't come in from, there you will hear a rebel say he's placing a charge on the other side, then you and your squad (if they're still alive) have to fight off combine repeling from the surface (use mounted pulse rifle) then there should be a hole blown in the wall you can crawl through. Atleast if you are where I think you are.

I am trying to get the tower with the horse on top, it is visible from where i am at, I have killed all of the soldiers from above

You're supposed to go around the row of cars to get back up to the street if you are where I think you are.

hmm, it is tuff, it won't let me jump any higher once i get part of the way up

I am on the street with the glass windowed shop that has all of the rectangular tables in it, like "cafe Beta" or something

So go down the hole the strider came from, into the garage and climb up the floor when the combine blow it up.

Maybe it's the bit right after that Strider crashes out of the ground? If so just go into the opening at left, avoiding those nasty legs.
