Can't run BF2 twice in an uptime cycle!

I can open BF2 fine, then when I quit, and try to reopen, it fails, or just closes. I have to restart every time to be able to open it again. Help?

never had that problem - if it crashes which is rare or after 6 hours +, then i just double click and in a minute i'm back in
maybe do a memory dump?

Yes, it was having this problem, then I uninstalled completely, reinstalled, installed Special Forces *ick* and then the patch..same deal And for clarification, it was doing this prior to me owning SF.

Kinda spookin me out. It started completely random, don't think I did anything special for it to occur.

I had that problem once with HL2. Then it began to lock. Then my computer degenerated over a course of 2 months, rendering it completely useless.


But, that probably won't happen to you.

I had that problem to, but i patched fixed it.

Perhaps it is a bug that affects some systems and not others like the HL2 one, if so it MAY be fixed later on.

Same problem here too. One time I didn't even get to open it once and a few times I've been able to open it up more than once.

Yeah, it's so weird. I really have no idea what caused it..maybe it was a patch with X-Fire that RUINED MY BF2!?!?!

Nah, I figured whatever it was would be fixted in the next patch maybe by some random weeness.

If not, that's fine, it takes my computer under 2 minutes to restart...no biggy.

as yet i have not tried this thing...i never had to quit the game and play again after some time...usualy i play for hardly 1 hr or so in a day...but would like to hear on the problem...as in future if i face same prob then i would have solution ready...
