I just was in a conversation about old cartoons I used to watch when I was like 6 years old

and I will like someone to give more information or some link where hav more info

the names I remenber

thundercats, all I remenber was the protagonist that was like the lion and the bad guy was a skull whit a coat and there was some blue guy that was a panther

motobikers micers form mars or some stuff like that,I just remenber a character that was a white mouse whit a grey eyepatch or something like that

captain planet, yea I remenber a lot about that one

I think I hav some more but I really barely remenber them
I am talking about stuff that are in the deepest of my memory

also dont know if one of those shows is of the 80 but I think there are ones that I remnber hav style of shows of the 80

btw the most intricating one I hav is one about a guy that drives a cadillac and is in a jungle full of dinosaurs,I remenber there was a episode where he needed to transport nitroglicerin anf he fill up the back seats of the cadillac whit sand to tramsport the nitroglicering

will post more later

Captain Planet, Power Rangers, Thundercats, Rocko's Modern Life, Ren And Stimpy (Best random cartoon from the 90's ever.).

There's something brilliant about the style of animation and the cheesy synth music they had back then. It was like every animated kids programme was a 20 minute boogie down at the Discotheque. Hair-styles and all.

Do yourself a favor though: DON'T WATCH THEM NOW THAT YOU'RE OLDER.

Seriously. I accidentally caught an episode of GI Joe on Cartoon Network, and it was ****ing horrible. Also,Transformers? The older ones suck now.

Nostalgia is a lying she-bitch, and she is not to be trusted.

Thundercats is from the 80's.
(1985-86)

Completely agree.

I was into GI joes back then (83-87) and I don't want to go back and watch them because of that reason. My brother was watching something in his room and laughing pretty hard one day. I went in and he was watching the Xmen cartoons again. Completely different from when you watch them as a kid.

i loved the original Power Rangers, from probably 94 or so, when I was five or six, but it's a laughably horrifically bad show

Man, cartoons were SO GOOD back then :D

Also, that YTMND owns.

I loved watching Tom and Jerry, specially those episodes where Tom would be playing the piano and Jerry would be trying to sleep in it. I hated the Jetsons, though.

biker mice from mars, I used to watch that show all the time.

did anyone watch Samurai Pizza cats? I think it was the catalyst for my life long love affair with pizza...

Biker mice from mars ****ing ruled!

I also really enjoyed turtles, power rangers, he-man and a bunch of other shows that i don't remember the names of.

FTW. Was wondering why he didn't mention this :p

I used to love that show when I was younger... but man, it creeped the f*ck out of me sometimes.

Oh, and used to be obsessed with Transformers and Ninja Turtles. Just recently found my TMNT fanclub ID card... mum must have signed me up >_>

Ya most of todays cartoons suck I love the old school Nickelodeon; best bet is to torrent the episodes and store them on a dvd for the future

It's not horrifically bad... I still watch it today, kinda obsessively too. (I have 60GB+ of episodes from a lot of the seasons...)

You honestly need to be roundhoused. ;)

I remember Mighty Morphin' though, with the Putties and all. It was good shit back then.

"At last! I have put holes on a bucket, and put it on my head! Now the kingdom is mine!!!"

I loved that show when I was a kid (reruns, I'm not that old) ..although Newt and toot got on my nerves ..even as a kid

STOP SAYING EVERYTHING TWICE!!!

Swat Kats, Batman, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Robocop...
Good times :frog:

What about Swamp Thing? That show ruled. I absolutely hated Biker mice and street sharks though, lamest shows ever.

holy shit...street sharks...TOTALLY forgot...

while we're talking about it....mid 90's I think, there was a show on ABC, Fox, or possibly SciFI...pretty sure it was ABC though...Sat morning cartoons...anyway, it was about this family that lived on mars and farmed there as a colony and there were these big two-legged beasts that had heads like a pterodactyl and were attracted to water. In the show's intro it shows a short clip of one charging the colonies electric fence (Jurrasic Park'ish fence) apparently because of the water inside. Then there were these creatures that were tripods and I think had three eyes as well....they were the size of striders. Anyway, I think the tripods occasionally saved someone or something then just dissapeared mysteriously, later finding out they were native sentinent beings of Mars or something....anyways, i've been DYING for YEARS trying to find this show...if ANYONE has ANY information please call 555-1337...j/k just pm me or post here

Might morphing power rangers was the pwn, but only because of the pink power ranger she was hawt.

The Smurfs will always be the best cartoon ever.

Then comes (in no particular order): Gummi Bears, Dungeons and Dragons, Thundarr the Barbarian, Caspar the Friendly Ghost, He-Man, Dragons Lair, Pirates of Dark Water, Duck Tales, Herculoids, The Incerdible Hulk, Muppet Babies, Pac-Man, The Snorks, Spiderman and his Amazing Friends, and Saturday Supercade.

Man, what has happenned to cartoons??? They all blow now!

Batman: The Animated Series ftw

Definately a personal favorite. The production values seemed like they were above any other cartoon at the time. Love the noir look, the sound/music, and the mature storylines. I've recently started collecting the episodes on DVD, and unlike many other childhood favorites, this is one of the few cartoons that stands the test of time.

Here's the intro: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-u07UEDT5I&search=batman TAS

Yeah, the Batman animated series was class.

There are a ton of cartoons I've forgotten...! But I remember stuff like Duck Tales, Count Duckula, Chip & Dale: Rescue Rangers (<-if you don't remember the theme tune, you are an alien and I claim my £5), DogTanian, BraveStar, Dangermouse (which I never actually liked all that much...), and TRAP ****ing DOOR (another legendary theme song). I even remember some abysmally awful ones like Batfink, and Denver The Last Dinosaur although Denver had some catchy ch00nz too.

Keep the names coming for nostalgia's sake, I've forgotten loads.

Wow, I used to watch this show all the time before going to school in the mornings. The convenient start time of 8AM meant that I could watch an entire episode while preparing/eating breakfast.

Although, watching the intro again for the first time in 8 years makes the show look hilariously crappy in retrospect.
That song is now stuck in my head forever. You do realize I'm going to have to kill you now. :imu:

an example of one of the images I have stuck in my head from the show...it's during the intro where the monster that's attracted to water is charging the fence

the stick figures are two kids...i seem to think they were brother and sister..but I'm not sure

ps...i just finished my experience with Neon Genesis: Evangelion with the film "The End of Evangelion" and OMG what an ending.

Caer Bears, My little Pony, the new adventures of winnie the pooh, Barney (kathy was a babe), And the Mickey Mouse cartoons.

I was watching CNN when you were watching Barney! While you were off making childhood friends, I was contemplating the meaning of life and beginning to understand the mechanics of our species! So when you're off making money to support your five children on a 10k dollar income, I'll be telling what kind of position I'd like each of my hoes to be in when it's their turn for me!

Ha! To be honest, the only thing I really retained from that show was the intro music. Everything else was kind of a blur, until now. :p

How about some EarthWorm Jim to divert your attention: http://www.retrojunk.com/details_tvshows/274-earthworm-jim/
