I'm sure there are better ways of removing old satellites, directing it to crash into the ocean which has been done before, or get a capable aircraft/ shuttle to bring it down. I'll blame the Chinese when a piece of shrapnel lands in my garden and breaks one of my gnomes.

Be the demolitions general, that way you get suicide rebel ambush, such a versitle and powerful ability, capture, shoot or just detonate with as much (if not more firepower) than a superweapon, plus enhanced SCUD Storm is the most powerful superweapon.

Also, Airforce gets MOABs, carpet bombings, A-10 strikes, Spectres (and leaflet drops :cheese: ) as well as the things you actually have to buy.

Demolitions General was definately the most powerful general. With the demolition upgrade activated even your rebel ambush turned into a superweapon.

I'd be getting worried if I were on the ISS right now. There's a shedload of extra debris flying round the earth at all angles at 16,000mph in the opposite direction.

I've never tried the demolitions general I usually just play as the laser, nuke or airforce general. Oh and if your masochistic then try the infantry general LOL

Anyway on topic, I don't think in real life China would start a war with either the Eu or the US, simply because it's got a good thing going economy wise.

The only thing is..that's alot of space, and the ISS is pretty damned tiny in retrospect...thus the debris is PRETTY tiny too...I'm sure they are far enough away/on the other side of Earth..

Well, that's the problem: tiny debris easily smashes holes into the space station or damages other equipment because it's so tiny and so fast.
 
The ironic thing is that satellite probably had a 'Made in China' engraving on it somewhere.

its harmless up there... the area of surface at that altitude above the earth is even greater than that at sea level. that means satellites have even more room than we do. we could afford to have millions of satellites up in space and each one would still be miles away from each other

no, space junk is a major hazard to orbital travel beause the explosion probably sent debris out in all directions in multiple orbits, and even a fine piece of junk the size of a marble or less could be extremely hazardous to a space station or shuttle. There is so much junk up there from the days of sputnik all the way up to now that NASA literally has to document every piece of space junk and its orbit and make piloting descisions to stay away from it.
