It's not bad, but I find the background to be distractingly plain.. Maybe use one of the screenshots(heavily faded) as a background..

Also you should make it at 1280x960 these days. There are quit a lot of people using that resolution.

thanks for the input, I was aiming for basic clean no cluttered look, the 2nd BG can be used at any res. just center it then make the BG color the same as the image, thats why I made the BG a solid color.

I quite like the second, using it as wallpaper now (I switch like every week though ). It's simple and clean. The fact that it's not using the already way overused concept art in it is a pro to me.

thanks man, the first time I ever used images in a wallpaper was in the first one. I just like creating objects, one day ill get off my a** and get into 3D. Ther HL2 logo is just fun to play with.
