I believe he's talking about Fakefactory's Cinematic Mod,and apparently he's not happy with some of the "improved" models. I can't help you though as I've never used the mod (computer's too crap to run it).

There's no way to keep the fakefactory materials from overwriting original ep2 assets, you'll have to to live with it or stop using it.

Yeah, I like fakefactory accept that they change the models so much. They could up the quality of the models, but changing features makes it feel like a different game, instead of an enhancement mod. :/

also you can change the alyx character witht he character pimper which can be found in the sourcemods folder
