Combine unmasked?

I think that the humble combine soldier might just be the coolest bad guy i've seen yet. However i still don't know for sure what they are. Most people refer to cyborgs and aliens.

If anyone can find any screenshots of the men behind the masks please give my a link.

The combine are cool, just like the marines, they just haev that bit more than your usual enemy you see in fps games. Dont know how, but i recon it's got something to do with the design.

I reckon thats they are humans that have been heavily modified and therefore need the masks to breath air or something. aka Darth Vader.
They are well cool. They have a wiff of the SS about them.

I believe they are human. But I think they gave them all masks in order to make them all look exactly the same. To give the player a common enemy. Something to hate. A representation of the system in place.

If they all didnt have their masks on then it would make them seem more friendly (I wanted to put more human, but I knew that people would take that the wrong way. I do NOT think they are alien)
With the masks they are something that can be colectively hated and feared by the player.


Well thats the reason I would have given human oppresers masks anyway.
