or console whichever you want to call it but either way im not exactly sure how it works... ive gotten it all the way to were the console menu appears when i press down the "~" key so now what? i put in:

• weapon_smg
• weapon_smg 1
• use weapon_smg
• use weapon_smg 1

and nothing happens. How does the console work?

First of all, before you put in any cheats, you have to type in sv_cheats 1, which activates cheats. Then you type in give weapon_smg or something.

For more ammunition and all the weapons, type in impulse 101.

How can I bind a key to impulse 101?

It won't work since there is a space between impulse and 101
