Can anyone describe the methods used to make acceptable colored concept art? I use Paint shop pro 7 if that helps.

That was most likely done with photoshop and a Wacom pad: http://www.wacom.com/index2.cfm
Pen sketches and watercolor also produce good results, if you don't want to do it digitaly.

Is it possible too produce the same results without either a tablet or water colors, just scanning the sketch to the comp and editing from there? Ive done that before but not with great results.

i doubt you can do it without a wacom tablet ... if you want to do concept arts just buy one, the basic one is only about 50$ and im sure you wont regret it :thumbs:

that would be extremely easy to od without a wacom as long as you have the sketch on paper . tho i cant exactly tell you how to do it in paint shop pro.

Basically, scan in your art, then set it's layer to multiply. Draw with the airbrush (yes, you can do it without a tablet. I used a mouse for my art for years.) in a layer under that.

You should put this thread in the art section, and also look at the stickies or search, cause those people have great talent, and can give you good tip+ they know good tutorial sites.
