Can't have a concept car thread without the first ever concept car.

The Honda NSX is coming back ... and this time, it's got POWER.

Namely, a 4.5 Liter V10 ... WITH VTEC. Just imagine how awesome a high-revving V10 will sound ... something like an F1 car - In an NSX!

This is the NSX as it should have been... Power to match the handling. Oh, and it's AWD

I think the first honda car actually looks very cool. I would buy one of they weren't slow as sh*t. As for the NSX it looks a lot like a corvette but better and possibly actually worth the money.

The steering wheel is on the wrong side and it's an automatic. Next!

Was thinking the same thing.

And they kept the same shit that made the CRX an ugly piece of junk to begin with! HOORAY FOR HONDA!

Um... depends on your defenition of "wrong"... looks perfectly fine to me... :hmph:

VW W12 Supercar
More recently, VW decided to have another crack at the speed records and went back to the ultra-fast Narda track in Southern Italy on February 23 and 24, 2002.

This time the W12 smashed its existing world 24-hour speed record by 27.7 km/h, covering 7,749.4 kilometres at an average speed of 322.89 km/h - that's an extra 663 kilometres in the 24 hours.

Whilst these speeds in their metric guise may just seem ridiculously high to many of Gizmo's readers, convert them to imperial measure and you'll suddenly understand why VW went back to the racetrack.

The February records have now pushed the average speed past 200 mph for all records from 100 kilometres and one hour, through to 5000 miles and 24 hours.

Accordingly, the W12 is capable of averaging 200mph almost indefinitely, which makes it one weapon of a roadster.

Except when the CRX was being built, it looked like they were building it, then like "OH SHIT WE RAN OUT OF MONEY...lets just cut it here, and finish it off."

I don't know about the base Corvette, but a Z06 can beat Ferraris and Porsches twice its price both on the drag strip and road course. If that isn't "worth the money", then I don't know what is.

Anyways here's the never-built Ford Nucleon concept from the '50s:

It was supposed to run on a small nuclear reactor placed in its rear. Good luck pushing a car like that nowadays.

And the Dodge Challenger Concept is win and awesome. Too bad they won't sell the production car outside the US...

who cares if it;s an automatic, it still looks freaking awesome and im sure they'll come out with a manual trans option..
