Console Error

Hi there,
I was playing HL2 and the ni want to open my console.
That works, but if i type a letter or number ( whatever ) then the console flips away..
Does someone know how to get rid of this ?

Yeah, I have the same problem. Just type a vowel (oieua) (this makes it stay) and then delete it and type what you want.

It has to do with European style keyboards... you're dutch, right?

Alternatively, you can bind the console to some other key than `~.

I really hope that Valve will fix this some day, but after sending 2 bug reports and numerous posts at the steam forums they still ignored it

Ja ik ben nederlands Zie dat jij ook nederlands bent
Maar als ik dus de console op een andere knop maak dan moet hij het wel normaal doen ?
En steam zuigt extreem die luisteren nooit naar mailtjes.. ook niet naar mailbommetjes

Ja bind em naar een key die geen speciale tekens kan maken... (je moet em natuurlijk niet naar ' ofzo binden ) of typ elke keer gewoon een klinker en doe dan backspace... ik ben zo gewend aan de lokatie van de console onder ~ dat ik de moeite neem om elke keer een klinker te gebruiken
