Is there a noticable game preformance jump from the 3200 corsair value to the 3200 corsair xms?

I've always been an advocate of cheap RAM. I find most claims of higher quality stuff being better to usually be so much hot air.

It's (Value) a lot better than buying a noname brand but slightly better timings would improve performance (XMS).
No need to go wasteful and get memory with 2-2-2-5 timings.

the ocz 3200 is 2-3-2-6 T1 and the value is 2.5. is there gonna be a gaming preformance hit between the two? if so how much? thanks.

you gotta love that the xms xl 2-2-2-5 out of the box. :D
ill be gettin me some as soon as i sell my old memory.

Look up benchmarks, usually the high end stuff only really has a %1-5 difference at stock and then you look at the prices and you see it's usually %30-50 more costly.

Is that really worth it?

Well, it's the same idea when choosing between a 3GHz and a 2.8GHz cpu. Is it really worth the money over a 2.8ghz which only offers that extra percent performance? Some say yes, some say no. Same with memory.

I think ive seen some new ram that was 2-2-2-2 but I cant remember what it was...

cough* Corsair *cough

I have some old Corsair 2-2-2-5 memory sticks! It's PC2700 though. hehe
It's running great at 191MHz with those timings though. ;)
