Lately, Valve have been very busy expanding the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive beta. Some of you Counter-Strike fans out there might be more interested in checking out the latest selection in our continuing gameplay series following the progression of the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive beta.

Recently, Valve have released redesigned versions of two classic maps, Office and Aztec. Complete with whole new aesthetic designs and new routes, these maps join the growing roster of classic Counter-Strike maps currently available in the beta. Check out the two videos below, highlighting gameplay of both Office and Aztec.

Classic Office and Aztec gameplay with a CS:GO twist.
In addition to redesigning older Counter-Strike content, Valve have also recently included a set of new 'Arms Race' maps, small and simplistic deathmatch style arenas designed specifically with this new Arsenal gamemode in mind. Introducing Shoots, a brand new map set in a South American valley, and Baggage, a relatively small map located inside the baggage terminal at a modern airport. Valve hope that the new smaller, fast paced arenas in which players instantly respawn, will set the Arsenal gamemode apart from the traditional Counter-Strike modes.

With smaller, faster paced arenas, casual gamemodes such as Arms Race provide a less tactical experience that is found in traditional Counter-Strike modes.
