CS:S come with Orange Box?

Is CS:S included with the Orange Box package? I'm trying to convince my friend to get CS:S, but he is sure that it comes with Orange Box and so wants to hold off on buying it.

Will HL2DM come with the Orange Box? It'd seem odd if it didn't, seeing as it has every other HL2 game in there.

It WILL include HL2DM, it has to. HL2DM has replaced CSS as the official HL2 multiplayer.

Unfocused - yes, over Steam the Black Box will exist, and if you buy the Orange Box you can give the games you already own away.

Think they are all in one. Like a package deal. I am looking forward to playing around with Portal myself. Saw the Demo and it looks fun.

The CSS box has HL2DM but no HL2. You can also buy them seperate from eachother on Steam, I think.

HL2DM uses HL2 content (Source Sound, Source Materials etc.). Those GCF files are included with CSS.

now that i think about, it would be odd if the console version of the Orange box did not a half life 2 DM. Im thinking it has a Half life 2 multilayer, but I do not think it will be considered Half life 2 DM because Im guessing that it will include any new weapons and such that half life 2 dm for pc does not have. My guess is that it will simply be built in to the half life 2 game unlike for pc where it is only a single player game. However it is still entirely possible that the Orange box will not have an online mode for Half life 2. If it is as I predict however ( console havening a "newer" HL2DM ) Then do you think it is time half life 2 dm for pc needs some updates?

Who said HL2 on the X-box was going to be MP? The only MP game on there is TF2.

no one ever said it was... and i never assumed it was, but now that i had though about it, I would think some kind of HL2 mp would add to the whole Half life 2 experience and I would not so much feel cheated out of it, but would be a little disappointed that it wasnt in the console game, and with that said, I do not like how valve addresses it as a separate game. Half life 2 DM is the only game that is sold separately from its single player counter part ( or as far as I've seen ). When you purchase Half life 2 weather it be via steam or retail, it should have half life 2 DM no matter what! If some one choses that they dont want to half life 2 single player on their machine then they should have the options to not have to install it, but the ability should still be their. I love valve and just about every thing they do ( and i love how they are just packing the orange "box" to the rim! ) but I do not like that they had did that, and i still hope that they give some updates to half life 2 MP, and as i write this it I had just thought that the only good thing about it being separate is that it can be updated with new stuff... but im still not for it. w/e im done

i think theyre focusing on tf2 as the multiplayer of the orange box, they might add it in later but i dont think hl2dm will be included at release.

im pretty sure it will not be either, but you see you guys are looking at if like this "half life 2 DM = separate game ". How many console games have you picked up that said on the cover " Multilayer *enter game name here* also included in box!" ... uh I've never seen any, all im saying is that console gamers dont expect to see a seperate name on the box for an online version of the game, if it has multilayer they assume its just built into the game, all im say'n is thats a possibility im pretty certain valve didnt look into, it might have been and idea, but im confident it was not implemented. *multilayer is not advertised on the box of any console game, in info it will say on the back bottom corner, but its not in big bright letters on the cover art. * - thats all im say'n
