should i upgrade my cpu to get good fps on cs:s and HL2?

Anywho, do you want to play on the most extreme graphics settings? If so, I'd suggest upgrading your CPU and GPU. If you can live with decent graphics, I'd still upgrade your CPU.

That PC should play it fairly well. You won't get to play it on the best settings but should get a good FPS on a setting somewhere in the middle. If you feel it's worth upgrading to get the 'full detail experience' then do it

You should just order HL2 through steam, play CS:S, and decide if its worth the money to upgrade then.
