Date during E3?

Well, I don't know if someone have mentioned this but in a videointerview with Doug Lombardi. In the IGN interview thay have reached alpha and should reach beta until E3, which was like a month ago.

"We hope to be announcing the exact date during E3" - Interview dated 051004

In the other interview, from GameSpy they say they have hit alpha and should hit beta near E3. Altough in this interview they don't mention anything about a release date.

"We're targeting completions of the game about midsummer, roughly." -Interview dated "prior to E3"...

So, anyone heard anything... Damn, Valve just talks. If they don't have anything usefull to say they shouldn't. They must realize that gamers around the world listen to their words like it was the bible. Well... I think Valve have promised alot this last year. I just hope they release the game during the time they have said... "summer"

What? You don't have to be rude. I know they said that MIGHT give us a date during E3, I just hope they would give us date. To bad they didn't.

Hey, this is a rumors and speculation thread. I just want to speculate on why they didn't gave us a date during E3. Or why they told us we might be getting a date at that time.

Anyways, lets just hope they decide to make alot of dexters happy and tell us the release date soon... A real date, not a sept 30 date again. One they can manage. Well, you get the point.

I think the only thing harder to speculate than the hl2 release date is the exact number of "hl2 release date" threads on this site now.

I wasn't justifying your thread. Maybe you should read my statement with a "not a-freakin-nother thread about the hl2 release date" kind of attitude. Then go and familiarize yourself with the search tool so we don't end up with a million more threads about the same damn thing.
