Deathmatch won't start

Hi guys i hope you can help me, I have just opened Deathmatch and for some reason when it shows the main page (Rebel throwing a bog) none of the options appear and it just exits to the desktop.
Does anyone have any ideas of what is wrong and how i can fix it?
