Decompiling?

Its been a long time since i tried modding anything using Source. Way to long so i thought id get abck into it.

I also remember back when i stopped that Cannonfodders Tools works without error. Now it doesn't seem to matter what i do they no longer work and it appears that Cannonfodder has given up hope as hes even abandoned his own forum to be run amok by spam bots.

So say i want to, rip the MP5 from CSS and reanimate it? WHat tools do i need now? I use Maya with the Source SDK btw.

Someone please help me with this, it would be much appreciated.

How exactly are Cannonfodder's tools not working? What error message?

unfortuneatly im not at home at this point, i will be later tonight, but if i recall the error messages resemble not being able to browse using steam access (always has to be local files) and as far as StudioCompiler goes, just sais it cant find the steam game or some crap for CSS, even though i used it for CSS prior. Im assuming some retarded update to the files changed a few variables around and cannonfodder hasn't updated it.

Does anyone else have any luck with Cannonfodders tools?

Error with studiocompiler

Im having trouble even getting any of cannonfodders tools to work. Mainly mdldecompiler and studiocompiler. I get the error message Extra App ID set to 211, but no SteamAppId. The answer might be fairly simple to this but let thee be known......I may be new to the software, but I have experiance with modeling, just the software is screwing me over. So pray for me or help me please

To use cannonfodders decompiler, make a shortcut and put this as the run command:
"...\StudioCompiler.exe" -nosteam

with ... obviously being your directory containing studiocompiler.exe.

Strange

Thanks whitfield, it got StudioCompiler running. Strange thing was though. It said StudioCompiler on the titlebar, but it was MdlDecompiler. Its that the opening for studiocompiler and im just getting a intro to it or is that just messed up?
