This is just like the Deus Ex 1 Thread, Except it's Deus Ex 2.
Tell how You First Played The Game, Tell Your Best Character, Ect.


My First Character Had No Stealth on him what-so-ever, He didn't even have a silencer on his pistol (For some reason I Didn't put it on my pistol from when you get it in the first Level), I just used guns and went like crazy, I thought the stun prod was useless, Now it's one of my favorite weapons, My Favorite Weapon is getting a fire extinguisher and the baton - Blinding a guy then cracking him over the head, it's so great!


In a Few days I'm getting Deus Ex 1, And I'll see if I think it's better than #2.

I didn't do any hacking that is for sure, boring. I did a lot of sneaking to avoid confrontations to preserve ammo but mostly I just killed guys with the shotgun. I used the boltcaster a lot too, I prefer to watch them wander around wounded until they passed out so I can play with their bodies! I also used a lot of mines for when people and machines walked passed muahaha. I used smg, sniper rifle katana and flamethrower too, burn baby burn.
I also used the strength biomod to chuck huge objects at people waiting for them to get annoyed, powpow

I hardly ever use the shotgun, It's to slow, it takes like 2 shots to kill someone, and it takes forever to reload.
I'd say the combat knife is the best blade
Sniper rifle is the best weapon ever, with silencer and increase fire rate mods, that gun kicks anus!

What?! The Energy blade is the best blade weapon in the whole game. Especially when you master strength, one swipe kill anywhere. And if you can get the Dragon Tooth, ohhhh mama o__o.

I got some silencer mods and a lot of EMP mods to KILL THOSE BLOODY SPIDERBOTS OMFG DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Those spiderbots annoyed me infinitely. Pwning them with some SMG rounds really made me feel better. It also gave me the opportunity to break in everywhere and steal shit

lol, I always - For Some Reason - Wasted a whole EMP Grenade on those spiders, I think there annoying too, Now I just shoot them with a pistol, It takes like 3 shots...

Hacker, invisible to machines. Used hacked enemy robots the whole time because of the lack of ammo that makes it impossible to play as a gun-slinger(sorry).
I did all the endings.

Edit: I always shotgunned spiderbots(I was always afraid of them in Deus Ex 1 but no IW for some reason.

Pretty much the same way I played the first game.

Beating stick up close with the strength mod. (the tazer was turned into a joke).
Tranq gun when possible.
Snipe at large distances.

I tried to avoid killing people largely except for the Knights Templar. They were a bunch of fascist pricks that I would go through extra lengths to murder. Sod them.

I took on hacking, but that seemed castrated from the first game. Invisibility from organics. Regeneration. Oh, and that leech aug, whatever it was. Clearing a room full of Templars and then breaking down their corpses for my nutrition. Rock.

I remember on my second play through(I know I said I hate the game but I wanted to play with the other team) coming out of JC's santuary I was completey out of ammo. I had to sneek out past all the knights and I didn't have any bloody stealth augs D:

I think I'm currently playing Stealth. I have the Eye-sight aug (For seeing enemies better) and faster movement Aug as well as that one hacking illegal aug. Very good game so far, except the mouse sensitivity settings go down in 5's which is by far the most stupid idea ever, and also I have no AA so everything looks jaggy. Awesome game though.

I went through making sure every single enemy was dead. Well, generic enemies anyway. I know I found great enjoyment in ruining the Arcology Chairmans career in every way possible. Total hilarity.

Stealthy-hacky but when the going got tough I was prepared to go crazy with the SMG. Mostly I used the baton, a pitol with silencer/EMP mod and a silenced sniper rifle. I had the cloak thingy (were there two? I think I had both) silent running, hacking, and that drone thingy which is really useful because you can blow people up with it.

I loved both those games sooo much. Deus Ex 2 is MUCH better than the public gives it credit for, allthough I too was pissed by the simplifications made to ease the transition to the xbox.

I don't really play very stealthy, but I love the subtler skills in games anyway. The vision enhancer in dxiw is definately an all-time favorite and it blew me away when I first upgraded it to level 2.

Hangar getting That guys harrier out, when I ran out of ammo for my weapon and the big turret in the middle of the room kept shooting at me when I was running about. So I got my one EMP grenade, saved, and threw it at the gun. I missed like 5 times and kept having to reload it xD. Good when I finally got it done though.
