Just a quick question - Does anybody know how to display a dotted grid to snap objects to in VB 2005 Express?

I use C# 2005 and C# 2008 express editions...

But let me see if I can help... been trying to find this for myself too.

EDIT: Okay go into the options. Tools > Options. Click show all settings on the bottom.

Then click Windows forms designer > General, change layout mode from snaptolines to snaptogrid. And you can change the grid size from in there too. It'll show the changes when you close out the designer(not the whole IDE), and open it back up again.

The grid will appear as dots for every snap point on the grid.

Ah. You have to restart it for that option to work. That's a little silly. Thanks anyway. :P

I didn't have to restart mine, at least not in the 2008 version. I just had to close my forms designer tab, and reopen it from the file browser on the right.
