Do any of you have voice actors?

As the title suggests, do any of you have voice actors? I am looking, yet the voice acting fields are dry. And when I find someone and I email them I get no reply. I hope the Source engine SDK allows you to use the voices from the game into your mod. I am just wishing there, though.

Yep I've got a few lined up, paid though. Why don't you ask friends and family to do your voices? Some people can be pretty good at it and don't realise. Atleast its cheap

I wont use a lot of voices in my mod... but some.

You can probably get away with pretty basic equipment. A tape recorder and microphone even, find a quiet place to record the lines, record them onto the computer, put a few filters through to clean things up and you should have reasonably good voices.. Not perfect of course, for that you'd need better equipment, but the quality should be quite passable for a game/mod. Once its in there with all the other sound FX and music going on it should sound fine. You can pick up good enough cheap microphones for a few dollars/pounds.

I'm just getting people I know to do my voices. I know a guy that can do a really good American accent. It's hilarious hearing him say "GOD DAMN! Those f*ckers have us pinned down over here! I need backup now!"
