Do You Think This Will Run At Max?

I know there are the system requirements and that for HL2 out already but I was wondering if you guys think that with this I can run HL2 at max resolution cause I will not play it until I can run it at the best resolution with no lags, cause this game is so, so, so cool that no one should lose the real adventure of playing it.

I recently did some upgrades to my system and this is how it looks (processor has to arrive yet tho)

Motherboard: ASUS A7V600
Processor: AMD Athlon XP 3200+ 2.2GHz 400FSB
CPU Fan: The one that is shipping with the processor I ordered.
Memory: Kingston 1028MB DDR400 (PC3200)
Video Card: ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB DDR
Sound Card: SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS
Hard Drive: Seagate 40GB 5300RPM

No, none of the technology currently released is capable of running hl2 at "Maxxed" however it will run well.....(apart from falling apart and burning up.....especially when you read this get angry and step on it....)

I'd guess that would go at max. Graphics card is the weak link. I don't agree with Yogibbear that no system is capable of running hl2 maxxed though - if your rig can cope with FarCry/D3, I'd hope it wouldn't struggle with Mr. Crowbar.

Come on. We have a forum dedicated to these sorts of threads and you also have the 'Test stress' which will give you a good idea. It doesn't take a genius to understand what settings you will able to play them - compare them to other games such as Far Cry and Doom 3. I don't mean to be rude, but these sorts of threads happen too often it clutters the forum.

I know it would have been posted but I just wanted to know about my exact system as I don't wanna run Half-Life 2 shitty, it would be a waste of game if not.

Yes. There virtually the same spec as mine and I'll be running Half-Life 2 on 1024x768 on high.
