For some reason i can only use the VOIP for about 1 minute after i join the game... then i cant use it AT ALL. When i hit the mic key no icon comes up... and then i look in my options menu -> audio and my VOIP is turned off and i cant select my Mic Boost Gain on.

So i never use it.... because i cant :(

But if i had it i would use it non-stop.

stern, add me to xfire - my sn is johnshoop or gh0st or something. I'm sure my nasally voice would fit in well with your canadian drawl :)

I usually make an invite only squad, usually called Delta VOIP or something like that. Only speaking people are allowed, and honestly usually we carry the team. Coordination is a must, I love this game. I find myself yelling a lot at the commander though, they arent too good sometimes

I'm more concerned about laughing and having fun to take the game seriously right now so I definitely wouldn't fit in haha.

will do when I get a chance ...probably not till the game hits the stores ...too busy playing GTA ...it's a slow process ..a few missions at a time

just promise not to shoot me in the back when I'm not looking :)

And now thankfully people can hear me talk... lol.

Note to everybody. MIC BOOST IS A MUST. I couldn't activate mine in the bf control file, so what I did(and thanks to redundant), is go into the my documents, same place where screenshots are... but click on the profiles folder instead. Find your profile folder, then go into audio.com and make mic boost 1 instead of 0.

What program do you open audio.con with in order to change it?
Is that all you need to do, because i have a headset but through my speakers i sometimes hear people talking, is there a button for VOIP to engage it in settings?

heheh good answer :E

Do you VOIP?

No, I don't see the point of it. It's basically "cheating" in my opinion, somebody kills you from cover, you scream bloody murder in the mic and give his position away to your team members. Silly if you ask me.

Besides, the radar and radio commands are more than enough. :E

Whats to stop them from typing away their position then?

to talk to everyone on your team (USMC, MEC) press and hold B, to talk only to your squad press and hold v

ah, so reading threads before you post does help :P

actually it's to talk to your squad, press and hold B
to talk to the commander (if you are a squad leader only) press and hold V

there is no alltalk in this game, VOIP works in a six man squad
from squad leader to commander (and commander to all squad leaders) and that's it.
no squad, no voip.

Make sure you are in a squad. I think you have to be, to use it.
