Does the G-man have a deviated septum?

I just started to play for a second time. In the openeing scene the G-man is talking and at one point he pauses to take a breath but it sounds like he snorts. I noticed that he does the same thing in the very end scene. Is this odd? Or is this the sort of attention to detail to make the charachters interesting which valve has put in.

Theories that he is not human and he has trouble with human speech. If you read the guide it says that

I just took all that as the charachter's natural nuances. Makes him more disliked. The slow speech and abrupt stops, make him compelling and disliked.

the prima guide implies that he isn't accustomed to human speech....
