dont do a 360 with your 360

Not good?
It's ****ing common sense not to move a console with a CD in it, ESPECIALLY not when the console is running?
Is it not?
Anyone who does that and get's pissed because the disc scratches should get hit in the head with a shovel.:p

i know, but statistics have shown that 77% of people are morons. it could easily get knocked over on its side though

That's why I'll have it laying horizontal, as in flat down, instead off vertical.:D

Not surprising. The XBox was notoriously hard on discs too, even when not moving the console. Still, this is plain idiocy, as has previously been stated.

Oldishness. YESH I'VE SEEN IT BEFORE. Also, why does Microsoft call it the 360 when you can only place it in 90 different angles?

SearanoX, he does NOT move the console per say, he tilts it, those are two totally different things imo, afaik the disc does not scratch if you MOVE it from say one play to another, it does however scratch if you tilt it while the disc is running.:)

What if your console is sitting upright, someone walks through, trips on a cord, and knocks it over.

Byebye disk.

And possibly bye bye console.

IMO it's microsoft should do something about it, the guy moved the console pretty gently to it's side, something like that should not happen.

Look this from Microsofts point of view. If some dimwits ruin their games and console by tipping it over, then it means more ca$h to Microsoft when the ppl go buy new consoles. :P

Problem: Xbox360 is not yet ready to be released.
Solution: Make it better.
Microsoft's solution: Release it on such a tight schedule that you can only make a few hundred for Christmas.

As far as I know, they should have about 700,000 out the door by Christmas, which really isn't terrible at all. Also, common sense surely tells someone not to do that to a machine while it's running :/

It was 400,000 in the US, probably about 20,000 in the UK, and from then on it can only go down. Of course that's not good. The only people who actually got one of the damn things are those who pre-ordered / queued up for days- and let's not mention that Microsoft are making a loss of $120 dollars with each machine that's sold. That's about a loss of $60,000,000. Y'think they'll make all that money back just from the games?

Now, don't get me wrong, the Xbox 360 is a good console and I want it to do well. It's just... Microsoft are never going to make back that 3 billion they lost with the Xbox are they?

I agree!

I know youd have to probably be hella stupid to turn it on its side while it was on, but shit... how the hell did they miss that defect when prototyping :O

on the other hand scoring cd's has never been easier.

it's rehabs like you that make people like me cry.

Lets see, every 3rd party game that hits a shelf microsoft gets $10 from. If 20 games ship 2 million copies total, microsoft makes $400,000,000. Plus adding in Halo 3 and since microsoft owns bungie, and microsoft is the publisher.....I think were safe to say.....yes they will make more than enough money back.

Microsoft lost 3 billion to get into the market, and they probably will loose some money with the 360 to push furthor into the europe and japan market. Of course though,

Why the hell did they even make them so you could put them vertically. What a freaking useless feature. I remember someone ranting about this before. Like we don't have enough space on our floor, we must make it vertical so that it's prone to being knocked over!! Yes!

I think it all started with the PS2. People thought you were supposed to play it stood up right, when that really was just the storage position. Yet it was so widely used that it became "the new thing" and now things like this video happen. Good game.

hahaha what a loser! He actually went out to try and help Microsoft, because they really need it!

Secondly he has many flaws with his presentation.

1.) He was using the game 'leisuresuit Larry' as an example, it's an awful game and he must live with his mother to play it.
2.) The game he used wasn't even an official disc! Lives with mother and has no money!
3.) The disc he used for all we know could be a scratch proof DVD because i swear I could hear the same noise as the the title video of something going very wrong when the xbox is moved.

Javes, you forgot
4.) He's obviously a warez-kiddeh!:D

3.) The disc he used for all we know could be a scratch proof DVD because i swear I could hear the same noise as the the title video of something going very wrong when the xbox is moved.

That is the 360 adjusting the disc support.
No such thing as a "scratch proof DVD"

****ing Fanboy
"hahaha what a loser! He actually went out to try and help Microsoft, because they really need it!"

The other 2 are not flaws, a disc is a disc.
